Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!! Just wanted to post a few pictures of Eli in his Halloween costume along with his cousins in their costumes. We did a little trick or treat last night at the grandparents. Hope all of your tricks and treats are the best ever!!!

New Maestro

Hi all!! Well, we have found another artist in our family! His name is Eli and he loves his daddy's guitar. I saw him playing and felt like if we just had a black backdrop this would be an awesome picture. So, we bought a black backdrop and it did wonders!!! We love this picture. It shows how much our little boy is growing up and becoming a TRUE little boy!!!

It's that time again!!!

I know. You are all saying, "Melanie what are you talking about?" Well, I am saying the holidays are coming and they are coming quick!! I wanted to put an offer out there for anyone who is interested. We will be taking some Halloween and Christmas portraits. We will also be designing Christmas cards this year as well. We began working on our own family portraits over the weekend. I will post those as soon as I can get them onto my flash drive. We found some really neat spots over the weekend so maybe we can have a variety. Just let us know soon if you choose to do any of these!!!

Sneak Peek!!

Well, here is a quick peek of the Jackson Wedding. This happened to be one of the sweetest, most beautiful weddings that I have been to.

The couple with their adorable little boy, John Austin.

The cake was absolutely beautiful and delicious too!!

Here's the Mama with the men!!

This has turned into one of our favorites. It turned out awesome we think, especially with the brilliant flowers!!

The beautiful bride with her beautiful flowers!! What a great combination!!
Thanks to the families for such a great experience! We had a wonderful time and we hope when you get the pictures, you will be just as excited as we are about your pictures.

Mountain Waterfalls

Ashley and I were able to take a quick vacation 3 weeks ago to the mountains in North Georgia in Dillard, GA. Ashley's family owns a mountain house there and we took a quick visit. While there, we were able to take some awesome shots of some waterfalls in the mountains. We picked out these as our favorites!! Enjoy!!

Updates, Updates, Updates

Wow!! We have been very busy lately!! I never knew that teaching would be a 24/7 job and would keep me up at night wondering if I had everything ready for the next day. So, my life is chaotic I will have to say.

Ashley and I have been trying to create a masterpiece lately for such a loving and adorable couple. We have considered this one of our most challenging things in life lately but we have truly had a blast with it. We have been able to form a friendship with this couple as we have seen them through their wedding. Brandi and John are such great people along with their parents as well. We have laughed and cried through this with them, I know. But we all have made it through. Ashley and I have learned many lessons about organization and keeping things in order through this wedding. However, it has helped us build onto our knowledge of photography in general and we have this couple to thank for everything.

I am only posting the "Bridal Portraits" today as we are still working on the wedding pictures which are turning out amazing. I will post them as soon as we can get them to where they need to be. Thanks to John and Brandi for being so kind to let us in on your special day. You truly are a special couple and our first wedding ever!!!!

Our New Projects

We have been working on a few new things to add to our collections. The following are some things that we have been working on. We are starting to take some ordinary things, like shoes, and turn them into masterpieces. We really thought the shoe picture turned out awesome and we have included it as a picture in our house. The first picture shown is a card that we worked on. We are going to start creating personalized cards as one of our new products. Let us know how you like them!!

Oh The Places We'll Go Part 2

This part we went to Atlanta for a visit with my brother. We visited Stone Mountain Park and my brother and I discussed how long it had been since we have been to this park. It has changed a lot since we were last there. We also went to a local Atlanta playground and had some fun with Eli. Thanks Michael for taking us around and having us up!!

The following pictures were taken at the top of Stone Mountain.

Oh The Places We'll Go...

Ashley and I often think, "Oh, the places we'll go to get a good picture!!". Well, we have definitely been in and out and around the southeast looking for new and better places to take portraits and we have done it once again!! We have found some awesome places from Tallahassee to Albany to Atlanta. Yes, we feel exhausted when we think about the last few weeks but maybe now we can slow down for a while. Hope you enjoy the following!!! Also, I know many of you are seeing these but not posting comments. We would love to see some comments at the bottom!!
Thanks for your help and encouragement!!

Melanie

Yes, I was absolutely exhausted here after walking around Chehaw Park in 90 degree weather!!! I decided to take a seat and take a look at the alligators that were swarming around us.

Eli has been studying "zoo animals" so I was explaining to him what we were looking at. I know you might be saying Melanie he has no clue. Yes he does!! He is really picking up a lot since he moved up into the older kids class at day care.

If you look really hard, you might be able to see Eli in the window on the train. Yes, that is him!!

Gabe & Cannon

Ashley and I were very fortunate to be able to photograph two of the most amazing kids on Saturday. One of our friends, Autumn, asked us to photograph her two boys and we tried to do them justice but pictures will never do it for them. They are just too cute for pictures!! They have the perfect personalities and they kept us on our toes the whole time. Ashley and I laughed like we never have before while taking these pictures!! Thanks guys!!

Our New Pad

After what seemed like a century, we have finally moved in. I thought that this house was never going to be finished and as many of you know, I am very patient. So, needless to say, living in close quarters was not for us even though we made it through the hardest of days. Oh and by the way, Eli loves the new house!!! He can actually run and play and LOVES the new cabinets because they are on his level. I have posted some pictures of the house even though you can't see all of the house in the picture. It truly is beautiful!!

Our Little One

Sorry to all of those who have already seen these pictures. I really wanted to share my adorable little one, Eli, (yes, I am biased) with everyone. He is such a little character and has the best personality. These are just a few pictures that we have taken of him when he was just "playing around". Enjoy!!
